In one case the encoded resolution is 1920x1080 and in the other case it is 1920x800 (without black bars at top and bottom for a 2.4:1 movie). As stated earlier, it often is better to leave it as-is. From my testings there's no noticeable difference between the BR disc, the Remux and the Encode. Normally I let my player or tv take care of de-interlacing.
